according to your specific needs. Designing any type of performing surface is possible. Guides such as hash marks, yard line markers, grid subdivision lines, and pit areas can be placed anywhere.
3D has powerful printing features that include printing zoomed charts, printing charts as thumbnails, regular charts, and coordinate lists. Coordinates can be printed for one drill or for an entire production (multiple charts) in a single list.
Print a Director’s drill book containing: a cover sheet, several pages of notes, charts with sets and sub-sets, performer coordinate lists grouped by set and also by performer, cast sheets with each performers name, label and primary symbol, as well as a personal note to each performer.
The Drill Backup feature creates automatic backups every time you save to help prevent loss of work. Choose how many backups you want to keep and where you want them saved.
3D Helpers display “how to” information, tips, tricks, and shortcuts. Helpers pop up for tools, functions, and options when you click on them. Helpers are great for new users, student labs, as well as users needing to freshen up their skills after a long off season.
3D is packed with shortcut keys requested by power users and professional drill designers for the most efficient use of the program. Shortcuts can be saved in setups for each user so they can have their own personal shortcut preferences.
3D drill files are cross-compatible. They can be used on any computer type that runs Java tm. For example, a 3D drill file can be written on a Windows computer yet used on a Macintosh computer that has 3D installed. Shapes can be copied, pasted, and mirrored between any 3D drill files.

High schools, colleges and universities, as well as corps worldwide depend on 3D Interactive for their designing and teaching needs. 3D Interactive not only offers all of the power and features of 3D Basic, but also provides interactive features for seamlessly sharing drill files with performers, students, clients, and associates. No emailing, no downloading of email attachments, no handling of data files. Everything is done internally within the 3D family of interactive software. The following 3D programs seamlessly communicate with each other: 3D Interactive, 3D Professional, 3D Designer’s Viewer, and 3D Performer’s Practice Tools.
"Pyware 3D Interactive provides Carmel HS with not only a phenomenal writing tool but also educational functions that allow students to take responsibility for their own drill. The ability to upload files for student use and the coordinate printing from multi-drill productions are huge time savers. Thanks Pyware for being a huge part of our success!"

3D Performer’s Practice Tools are downloaded at www.pyware.com by performers (or students) for viewing, practicing, and printing their drills at home. Your performers pick up your drills at home effortlessly. Within minutes the most current copy of drill is loaded directly into the Performer’s Practice Tools on the performer’s home computer. Performer’s Practice Tools (PPT) is a suite of tools personalized for each performer.
One of the most popular tools in the Performer’s Practice Tools is the Drill Explorer, which displays and animates a drill to music. The performer’s place in the drill is spotlighted continuously as their position moves from set to set.
The most innovative and exciting tool of the Performer’s Practice Tools is the 3D Performance Simulator, which simulates the performance centering on the performer’s place in the drill. Performers march their part using the numeric keypad or the (Optional) Pyware March Pad. While performers compete online for the highest score in the Online Leader Board, they learn their drill without even realizing it.
Performer’s Practice Tools includes powerful personalized printouts. Performers can print a personalized Drill Book, personal Coordinate Sheet, and Thumbnail charts at home.
Performer’s Practice Tools also includes the iPAS assessment tools for practicing scale studies.
The interactive online features of 3D Interactive are not only used by performers and students, but Directors and Drill Designer’s clients. Through the Director’s Viewer, directors can download and view drills from other directors and designers. The Director’s Viewer is capable of animating, printing coordinates, and printing thumbnails. Director’s Viewers are downloaded from www.pyware.com.
