New 3D Helper

3D Java helper
  • New Helper system that pops up instructions and tips during the use of 3D. These helpers pop up in tools, functions, and options throughout the program. Each Helper can be set to “don’t show again” and can be reset to show again should a user want them to re-appear. This is great for student labs as well as new users and users needing to refresh their skills. Even our power users find shortcuts and tips explained in the helpers that they were unaware of very useful.
  • Added Arrow key options to shift and rotate forms easily with out having to change tools or use the mouse.
  • Added a “Hold” option to reset a move (transition) to a “Hold” in all editing tools.
  • Added Enter and Esc keys to accept and cancel any tool. Tabs move orderly through the text boxes.

Rewritten Count Track

  • Added a button on the Count Track that zooms the count track In/Out. This allows for better visibility for page tabs that are close together (ex. 2 count sets) especially on higher resolution monitors.
  • Improved Page Tab editing. Page Tabs can be added by simply clicking on the count in the Count Track. They can also be removed by clicking directly on the tab.
  • Improved Editing Anchor control. click to move your anchors to a bounding set skipping over any sub-tabs. click to move your anchors to a single count.

Display Options

  • New Application Settings option to “Show 3D Java helperbridges during animation” to allow the bridges to be toggled on and off for animation purposes.

  • Improved Perspective View. Displays cleaner, faster, and also removed the tendency for grid lines to slide slightly out of place at some perspective angles.

Performer's Coordinate Printout

  • Added the number of counts in the each transition to the Coordinate printout.
  • Added the print option to choose to print sub-sets.
  • Added the print option to choose to print the Performer ID.
  • Coordinates label hash marks more clearly using terms “High School” and “NCAA”.
  • Improved report sizes to fit a variety of sizes from full page to 6 per page (pocket size).

Knife/Glue tool (Picture: Regrouping Tool)

  • 3D Java helperAdded the “Divide Into” option to split forms in half, thirds, quarters, pairs, groups of 4.
  • Added the “Regroup to Secondary” option for grouping a formation the same way it was grouped on a previous count, perfect for meshing and un-meshing.
  • Added the “Undo Last” option for undoing the last position(s) cut or glued by mistake.
  • Added the “Pattern” grouping option for creating custom grouping patterns Ex. ABBCDD.

Matching system

  • Improved the display to more easily identify matched positions. Matched positions turn green to indicate they have been matched.
  • Improved click and dragging of existing matching line to another performer to flip individual performers matching.

Rewritten Free Form (Pencil) tool

  • New option to adjust the frequency that new editing handles are added to a shape while drawing.
  • Improved drawing to allow you to draw a form that crosses itself with out picking up an existing handle erroneously.

More Added Efficiency Features

  • New “Delete” function that easily allows you to reset a transition or to delete a performer from the drill completely.
  • New “Cast Import/Export” function for copying cast member information (performer name, label, symbol, color, personal notes) between drills.
  • Improved Shortcut Editor to include more tools of the tool palette.

Corrections

  • Corrected the centering of symbols in Pyware Dot Font that were appearing off center on some printers.
  • Corrected Drill Continuation option in Productions
  • Corrected regrouping for drills of large bands an unusually large number of individual groupings.
  • Correction Traditional tools to work properly when creating transitions that move toward the visitor side.
