3D Special Key Stroke List
This is a list of special keystroke commands that are avaiable in the 3D software.
Right Click Functionality
- Default Tool - Right click on the design grid to select the Default Tool. At the time of installation the Pointer Tool is set as the defualt tool.
- Set Default Tool - Right click on a tool on the tool palette to set the Default tool. The default tool is automatically selected once you accept any tool.
Double Click Functionality
- Minimize Perspective View - Double Click on the Perspective View Title Bar to minimize or restore the window.
- Minimize Production Sheet- Double Click on the Production Sheet Title Bar when it is in detached state to minimize or restore the window.
- Minimize Virtual Clinic Analyzer Windows - Double Click on the Title Bar of the Analyzer window to minimize or restore the window.
- Toolbar Orientation - Double Click on the gray bar to the left of the toolbar to change the orientation from horizontal to vertical or from vertical to horizontal.
- Pointer Select Recent - Double Click on the Pointer tool to select the most recent selection.
- Page Tab Options - Double Click on a Page Tab to show the page tab options.
Modifier Key Combination Functionality (Ctrl, Alt (Option), Shift Keys)
- Selection Tools
- Box Selection Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click and Shift + Drag Select will add or remove performers from the selection.
- Lasso Selection Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click and Shift + Drag Select will add or remove performers from the selection.
- Pointer Selection Tool - Ctrl + Click - With the Pointer tool selected Ctrl + Click on a performer to add or remove an individual performer to the selection.
- Pointer Selection Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click and Shift + Drag Select will add or remove performers from the selection.
- Drawing Tools
- Move Relocation Handle - Shift + Arrow Key - Pressing Shift and an arrow key while in a drawing tool will move the relocation handle by one step in the direction of the arrow you pressed.
- Rotate Relocation Handle - Ctrl + Arrow Key - Pressing Ctrl and an arrow key while in a drawing tool will rotate the handle by 5 degrees in the direction of the arrow you pressed.
- Tool Panel Relocation - Ctrl+Alt Click - With a tool panel open ctrl+alt click on the design grid to move the tool panel to your mouse location.
- Symbol Box - Alt + Click - When you Alt+Click in a symbol box located on any drawing tool, the paste tool, or the lableing tool a Symbol window will open up. This window will show the actual symbols that will be shown when using Specialized 3D fonts.
- Drawing Tool Panel Interval box - Alt + Click - When you alt+Click on the Interval box in any drawing tool it will open the Mixed interval window. This window gives you a larger area to enter complex mixed intervals.
- Freeform Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on a handle to remove it from the form. Shift + Click on the form to add a handle to the form.
- Performer Matching selection - Alt + Click - If you have 2 performers stacked on top of each other you can Alt + click on the performers to select the performer that is on bottom.
- Curve Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on a handle to remove it from the form. Shift + Click on the form to add a handle to the form.
- Editing Tools
- Move Relocation Handle - Shift + Arrow Key - Pressing Shift and an arrow key while in a editing tool will move the relocation handle by one step in the direction of the arrow you pressed.
- Rotate Relocation Handle - Ctrl + Arrow Key - Pressing Ctrl and an arrow key while in a editing tool will rotate the handle by 5 degrees in the direction of the arrow you pressed.
- Tool Panel Relocation - Ctrl+Alt Click - With a tool panel open ctrl+alt click on the design grid to move the tool panel to your mouse location.
- Drawing and Editing tools performer selection - Alt + Click - If you have 2 performers stacked on top of each other you can Alt + click on the performers to select the performer that is on bottom.
- Performer Matching selection - Alt + Click - If you have 2 performers stacked on top of each other you can Alt + click on the performers to select the performer that is on bottom.
- Adjuster Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on performers while the Adjuster Tool is open will add or remove performers from the selection.
- Curve Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on a handle to remove it from the form. Shift + Click on the form to add a handle to the form.
- Morph Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on a handle to remove it from the form. Shift + Click on the form to add a handle to the form.
- Fixed Interval Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on a handle to remove it from the form. Shift + Click on the form to add a handle to the form.
- Follow-the-Leader Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on a handle to remove it from the form. Shift + Click on the form to add a handle to the path.
- Track Tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on a handle to remove it from the form. Shift + Click on the form to add a handle to the path.
- Count Track
- Move anchors together on a page tab - Alt + Click - Alt + Click on a Page tab to move the anchors to the page tab.
- Move yellow anchor to previous set - Ctrl + Click - Ctrl + Click on a page tab will move the yellow anchor to the previous full page tab skipping over a subset to allow the full transition to be selected.
- Delete a tab - Alt + Click - With the page tab bin unlocked Alt + Click on a Page Tab to delete it.
- Count track zoom tool - Ctrl + Click - Ctrl + Click on the Count track zoom tool resets the count track zoom to the default.
- Count track zoom tool - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on the Count track zoom tool Zooms out on the count track.
- Select a range of pages - Shift + Click - Shift + Click on page tabs, in the production sheet, or in the Virtual clinic windows will allow you select a range of pages.
- Animation Controls
- Open Document Preferences - Alt + Click - Alt + Click on the Play button to open the Document preferences to assign a music file.
- Clear Music Syncronization - Alt + Click - Alt + Click the speaker button on the animation panel to clear the music syncronization.
- Field Display Window
- Field Design Window tools - Alt + Click - In the Field Design Windows if you Alt+click on the zoom or grid shift tool the settings for those tools will be reset to the default location.
- Field Design Window zoom tool - Ctrl + Click - Ctrl + Click with the zoom tool selected zooms in on the Field Design Grid.
- Perspective View
- Perspective view tools - Alt + Click - In the perspective view window alt clicking on the Tilt, Shift, or Zoom button will reset the perspective view to the default setting for that tool.
- Perspective Zoom view tool - Ctrl + Click - Ctrl + Click with the zoom tool selected zooms in on the perspective vie
