How to create new hat style?

Post by edwinm » Wed Oct 08, 2014 7:04 am

Hi there,

I'm very new to using Pyware and I'm creating the uniform for my band. The uniform is finished but I need to create a black beret with a white plume (position is on the front of the beret above the left eye).

Two questions:
1. How can I create a new hat style for this beret?
2. How do I import this new hat style?

I hope someone can give me some tips&tricks :)

There is a template called beret.psd. It's installed in your Documents folder under /Documents/Pyware 3D/Fabric/Templates.
I enjoy charting military drills. Let me know if you need any assistance with one of them.

greatcow95 is correct. The following guides will help:

http://www.pyware.com/guide/3d/8.0/en/t ... using-gimp
In the example above, GIMP is used to create a uniform. You can follow the same instructions while editing the beret template as opposed to the uniform template.

Once you have your uniform images saved and ready for 3D, the following steps will guide you through importing the image(s) into 3D.

Thank you, greatcow95 and Mark

Unfortunately there is no beret.psd in the folder you refer to (see picture I attached). I'm using GIMP and no photoshop, so if anyone could provide me with a beret template (preferably in GIMP-format) it would really make my day :)
