 Post subject: Keyboard/font questions
PostPosted: Sat Jul 08, 2006 9:13 pm
I am curious as to why my keyboard is not registering (as far as quick commands/commands in general are concerned). Every function is a matter of going to the pulldown menu.

Curious, too, as to why the fonts are not displaying the way the pdf file says they are supposed to...

Just bought this program a few weeks ago - like the features, but not sure why these items are not "available".

Thanks for any insight/suggestions.

Douglas

The quick commands are setup in the Shortcut editor which is listed in teh Utilities menu. There is an option for Mac specific shortcuts be sure that this is selected.

As for the font issue most likely the font that you are using is not installed in your fonts folder of your computer in which the PDF creator would use to imbed into the PDF. You will just need to put the font that you are using into the fonts folder of your system.

The shortcut editor is very handy but there are certain things I can't do (or don't know how) to do with the keyboard.

In the past versions, I was able to use the Return key for Accept and Esc key for Cancelling operations. I don't see how to do this now. Also when matching forms, I can't seem to use the keyboard to select the match (as in Enter matching and moving to next position). Also can I use arrow keys to move to different positions to match.

These are very helpful and I used to use them all the time in the (much) older 3D programs. The more I can do with the keyboard really helps me speed up the writing process.

Thanx,
/bob

The function that you are trying to access are currently not available. We do have those items on the update list to be address however they are still in development.
