I have never written a show before and am looking to learn about drill writing. I've seen some classes I can take, but they mostly say you need to have some experience before you take the class. I ordered Dan Ryder's "Techniques of Marching Band Show Designing" in hopes that I can start to learn. Are there any other resources out there?

There are some video tutorials at www.bandfo.com that are very useful for learning to write.

hey thanks. I'm aware of these videos. I know Craig Harms is like the Pyware man, but I've watched his free video samples and I get like low tech ADD. I know it's the new version of Pyware that I have and all, but he just used some Mac features and voice overs to make those videos and I just seem to space out and become disinterested. It's strange really. I guess I'll have to crack down and watch the real series.
