The majority of the issues reported can be resolved by installing the most current version of the software.

Download the most current version of the software from www.kjos.com/ipas/, you will need your book to download this file.

Installation instructions for Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
1) Download and save the software from the link above.
2) Right Click on the installer and choose Run as administrator.
3) Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

After installing the software you will need to follow these instructions the first time you run the iPAS software on Windows 7 and Windows Vista Computers. Running on Windows 7 –

1) Right click on the iPAS icon
2) Click properties
3) Choose the compatibility tab
4) Select the box to run as administrator
5) Select the checkbox to run in compatibility mode
6) Select Windows XP Service Pack 3 .
7) Press OK.
8) Run the iPAS software.

Running on Windows Vista –
1) Right click on the iPAS icon
2) Click properties
3) Choose the compatibility tab
4) Select the box to run as administrator
5) Select the checkbox to run in compatibility mode
6) Select Windows XP Service Pack 2 .
7) Press OK.
8) Run the iPAS software.

Running on Mac OSX 10.6 and 10.7
After installing ipas on Mac OS 10.6 and 10.7 users if you receive the error “unable to save changes Lib\settings\users.txt (Access is denied)” when running the iPAS software follow the instructions below.
1) Open the “Go” menu and choose “Go To Folder”.
2) Type the folder name “/Library/Application Support/” and press Go.
3) Please delete the folder named “Pyware iPAS”.
4) Then re-create a new folder named “Pyware iPAS”.
5) Ctrl + click on the folder and choose Get Info Go to ownership and permissions.
6) Set all users to read and write.
7) Run and activate the software.
