dpdrilldesign,
Adding the ability to edit fabrics for use in the Real View would be a massive (read: MASSIVE!) overhaul of the program. The Real View is far more advanced that the classic perspective and its older figurines. Because of this, we chose the path we're currently on.
We have artists on staff that volunteer their time to create uniforms and fabrics for our customers that don't have the time or know-how to create their own uniforms. We do not charge for this service, and any uniform that we create is free for anyone to download and import into their software. You can browse these fabrics on our web page here:

I believe you'll find many basic (and some not so basic) uniforms and flag silks to quickly switch between. Alternatively, you could post a picture of a uniform or flag silk that you would like designed here:

We'll do our best to get it turned around for you as quickly as possible.

Why did Pyware not allow you to change uniform color like you could on the old figurine editor in the new Real View for version 7? The new Real VIEW is great for animation but would be better if you could pick say Uniform 1-Male and change the color from garnet like color to say "blue" and get the same uniform look but different color. I think that would have satisfied so many users. I find the fabric editor thing a real waste of time. Same concept for flags ....just let us change color on the flag like with a basic color palette.. I have no need for spending tons of time editing fabric with GIMP. As a drill designer, I want to spend time writing drill not playing around with editing fabric.
