Transitions connect one set (formation) to the next, showing how performers move across the field.

Step 1: Set the Starting Formation on Count 0

  • Place Red and Yellow Anchors on Count 0.
  • Use the Pointer Tool and click on the performer you would like to move. If moving a group of performers use the Lasso Tool to select performers. Pro Tip: By holding shift and clicking on a performer you can easily select more performers to the group you are transitioning to.
  • This becomes the starting point of your first transition.

Step 2: Creating your First Transition

  • Spread the yellow and red anchors across the intended transition counts. Yellow Anchor on starting Page Tab and Red Anchor on ending Page Tab.
  • Arrange performers into their new positions.
  • When moving a performer from point A to point B your step size will be shown in the pathway and on the status bar at the bottom of the screen. Pyware 3DX will auto save after a change is made and auto save a backup after 20 edits.

Step 3: Matching

  • Assign Mode: When in assign mode you are able to change how the new form is assigned to the drill. This can be assigned to existing performers, new performers or as a sketch.

Step 4: Grouping

  • Group Order: This will match performers based on the current grouping order and the order the new shape was drawn. The arrow will flip the grouping order.

Step 5: Refine Movement

  • Use tools like the Morph Tool to smooth and reshape your transitions.
