Grid Designer

Main Screen

The grid designer allows you to customize your design surface to your actual performance area. Grid markers can be added on both vertical and horizontal axis’. New marker lines can be created by dragging the corresponding marker type from the gray bin on the axis of your choice. All camera controls are available in the grid designer to zoom in and out and shift the grid.

Horizontal Axis Bin

• Red Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add a major division line to the grid area.
• Blue Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add a sub division line to the grid area.
• Magenta Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add a major hash line to the grid area. These hashes will be shown on the major division lines.
• Purple Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add a minor hash line to the grid area. These hashes will be shown on the sub division lines.
• Yellow Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add yard ticks to the grid area.

Vertical Axis Bin

• Red Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add a major division line to the grid area.
• Blue Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add a sub division line to the grid area.
• Magenta Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add a major hash line to the grid area. These hashes will be shown on the major division lines.
• Purple Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add a minor hash line to the grid area. These hashes will be shown on the sub division lines.
• Yellow Marker: Drag this out of the marker bin to add yard ticks to the grid area.

Inspector

• Grid Layout: This information will show the exact dimensions of the design area as well as the current step size of the step grid.
  
  
  
  
• Edit Handles: These checkboxes will toggle the corresponding marker edit handles on and off. Allowing you to more easily see what handles you would like to edit at any given time.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Color and Thickness: The sliders will increase or decrease the thickness of the designated marker lines. The marker line color can be chosen by clicking on the corresponding color button.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Preset: These preset buttons can be used to save the current color options to be applied to another grid. You have 2 presets to set for your convenience.
  
  
  
  
• Grid Division Options: This shows the grid division options dialog allowing you to change the step division. The default step division is 8 to 5.
  
  
  
• Major Line Marker Options: This will show the Grid Marker Options dialog. Here you are able to adjust the marker height to an exact size as well as adjust the location to an exact measurement.
  
  
  
• Marker Size: This slider will adjust the size of the yard line makers. The color box can be selected to choose the marker color.*
• Front: This slider adjusts the location of the front markers.
• Back: This slider adjusts the location of the back markers.
• Label: This will allow the editing of the custom label for the currently selected division line or hash. The checkbox will show or hide the selected lines marker.
  
  
  
• Layout Library: This allows you to load or save a grid layout.
