Draw Mode Ribbon
- Draw / Assign Mode Toggle: This will allow you to toggle between drawing mode and assignment mode.
- Positions: This is the number of points on the design grid.
- Position Lock: This will lock the number of positions in the form. When locked the interval will be adjusted to fit the performers to the shape.
Interval Options
- Free Interval: The performers are placed at the set interval in the drawn form.
- Horizontal Interval: The performers are placed in the form at an interval based on a locked horizontal interval that is typed in the interval box.
- Vertical Interval: The performers are placed in the form at an interval based on a locked vertical interval that is typed in the interval box.
- Sketch Points Interval: This will apply the interval of the performers in the selected sketch.
- Mixed Interval: This will apply a mixed interval based on the Mixed Interval box.
- Random Interval: This applies a random interval to the form that is filled.
- Interval: This is the interval at which the performers are spaced in the form.
- Interval Lock: This locks the interval value. When the interval is locked the form positions are increased or decreased when the form is changed.
Tool Specific Inspector Options
- Points: The number of Points placed in the design area.
- Add a Shape: This will open the add a shape dialog allowing you to continue drawing as one form with a different drawing tool. Shape options include Line, Curve, Pencil, Arc, Bezier Curve and Point.
- Identify: Identifies the shapes on the design grid that are being edited currently.
Spacing Inspector Options – Interval Options
- Free Interval: The performers are placed at the set interval in the drawn form.
- Horizontal Interval: The performers are placed in the form at an interval based on a locked horizontal interval that is typed in the interval box.
- Vertical Interval: The performers are placed in the form at an interval based on a locked vertical interval that is typed in the interval box.
- Mixed Interval: This will apply a mixed interval based on the Mixed Interval box.
- Random Interval: This applies a random interval to the form that is filled.
- Enclosed: This will enclose the form by adding performers between the first and the last editing handle.
- Filled: This will fill the shape created with the editing handles with performers in rows and columns.
- Omit Overlaps: This omits performers from being placed when stacked on top of an existing performer. The options are do not omit overlaps, Omit Overlaps at Endpoints, and Omit Overlaps anywhere.
Handle Widgets
- Resizer: Enable the resizing and relocation handles for the form.
- Stretch: The resizing handles will move together to stretch the new form.
- Slant: The resizing handles will move together to slant the form.
- Skew: The resizing handles will move independently to skew the form.
- Mirror: Creates a second copy that is mirrored based on the settings selected.
- Flip Horizontally: Flips the new form horizontally across the selected location.
- Flip Vertically: Flips the new form vertically across the selected location.
- Across Center: Sets the flip point to the center of the field.
- Across Point: Sets the flip point to a point that can be relocated.
- Cloner: Enables the cloning of the new shape multiple times.
- Copy: The number of copies of the original form that are created.
- Decrement (Dec.): The number of performers that are removed from each additional clone.
- Linear: The new forms are cloned in a linear manner between the original form and the selected point.
- Radial: The new forms are cloned in a radial manner around the selected point.
- Concentric: The new forms are cloned in a concentric manner around the selected point.
More Options / Settings
- Drag on Axis: Restrict the edit handle movement to a specific axis.
- Snap to Angle: Snap Edit handles movement to a specific angle.
- Handle Snap: The rise and run determine the angle at which the snap to angle is.
Assign Mode Ribbon
- Assign Mode: When in assign mode you are able to change how the new form is assigned to the drill. This can be assigned to existing performers, new performers or as a sketch.
- Group Order: This will match performers based on the current grouping order and the order the new shape was drawn. The arrow will flip the grouping order.
- Proximity Matching: This will match the performers based on the closest performers first. Then continually check for the next closest performer until all performers are matched.
- Customize: Custom match the performers based on the current performer selected. Click on the performer you want to match the indicated performer with.
- Clear: Clears all matching lines from all selected performers.
- Arrows: Move the indicator from the current performer to the next or previous performer to be matched.
- NO Symbol: Removes the match from the indicated performer.
- Swaps: You can drag matched performers on top of other performers to swap the matching assignments.
- Shifts: You can drag matched performers on top of other performers to rematch and shift all matches down the form.
- New Performers: The form will be created as new performers with the selected color and symbol.
- Sketch: The form will be created as a sketch.
Sequencer Widget
- Sequence Transition: The transition can be sequenced when enabled.
- Step Off: Number of counts in which performers step off.
- Drop Off Every: Number of counts in which performers drop off and complete the transition.
- Drop Off After (Duration): The total count duration a performer will march during the sequence to create the drop off.
- Drop Off Using: The stride size that the performers will take to get to the ending position to create the drop off.
- Pick New Leader: Enables the ability to choose a new performer to start the sequence.
- Pattern: Need more information on how this works.
- Group By Shape: The sequence settings are applied to each group as a whole.
- Group By Place: The sequence settings are applied to each performer individually.
- Change Order: Allows you to change the order of the performers sequence.
- Identify Action: Identifies the action that the performers or groups are taking.
- Identify Order: Identifies the order that the performers are sequencing in.
- Preview: Enable Preview animation of the sequence and adjust the test speed of the sequence.
Display Options
- Dim Other Positions: Makes positions that are not selected dimmer.
- Measure: Toggle the stride size measurements on or off. Adjust the opacity of the stride size background.
Advanced Assignment Inspector Options
- Filter New Shape Places: This will create a filter on the performers in the new form. This allows you to match only these performers.
- Filter Existing Shape Selection: This will create a filter on the performers in the original form you are matching from. This allows you to match from only these performers.
- Commit: This commits or makes final the performers that are currently matched and then you will be able to create a different filter or continue to match other performers.
- Uncommit: This will uncommit matches that you have already committed if you need to match them to different performers.
- Accept Uncommitted: This will allow you to accept the form and matching without matching committing all performers. Unmatched performers in the new form will be deleted and not placed. Unmatched performers in existing forms will stay in their current location.
- Show Performers at Existing: Performers and symbols are shown at the existing shape location.
- Show Performers at New Shape: Performers and symbols are shown at the new shape location.
- Temporary Relocate: Enables the relocation of the existing form to more easily assign the performers to the new shape.
