Re: Pyware Freezing
Looks like this was just operator error. I had extra space on my screen and was keeping all four of the virtual clinic tools open while I wrote. This appears to have been the source of overloading my computer and causing the application to freeze. Just thought I'd post in case anyone else runs into ...

Re: Technical Question - opening files
George,
Can you tell me where to get the Property List Editor? I've searched Apple's site and am apparently not as internet savvy as I thought….
Thanks.

Pyware Freezing
Anyone else having issues with Pyware freezing on a Mac? I'm running 6.06 on an i5 iMac with 4GB Memory using OS X 10.6.8. I'll just be using the software normally and in the middle of using a tool, I get the spinning color wheel and can't do anything but Force Quit, losing any unsaved worked. This ...

Re: Hardest Direction Change!
I wanted to piggy back on George's idea here. Yes, a hardest direction change indicator might be a useful tool. In general, I would benefit from more tools that help check certain aspects of the drill for me. For instance, we've had the stride indicator forever -- it tells us what the largest step-s...

Drill Checker
Anyone know a quick way to check your drill for swapped positions? I always try to be careful, but seems every year I have at least one drill that gets sent with the magic warp of players across the field because I've written forward and backward and somehow messed up the order of positions at some ...

Re: production sheet and text
you guys are great! thanks!
I'll try the other control keys for text editing…thought I did before, but I'm fully capable of some serious operator error.

any way to have the labels default to being a couple clicks CLOSER to the symbols for the application? I know you can choose a default location (direction)…

production sheet and text
I really like using the new production sheet in version 5 -- great new tool! A couple things I've run into that would be nice to change for next year: 1. Occasionally I'll click on a cell in the "Measures" column to edit the measures for that set. I'll hit the backspace key ("delete" on macbook) to ...

Re: Labeling tool
I spoke too soon. I'm still having this issue. Not sure what's causing it and haven't picked up on a pattern as to when it does and doesn't work.

Re: Sync Issues
I've had similar issues in the past and chalked it up to performance issues with my computer. This was often a problem for me when I used my old, clunky PC with v4. Now I'm using a modest, but much more powerful MacBook and I have the problem LESS often. It seems to do better when I'm running fewer ...

Re: Labeling tool
Sorry I posted too quickly -- that update seems to have fixed it! Thanks! Before I forget to mention it somewhere -- the shortcut key for the text editor isn't working. I typically use Command+T, but nothing I put there seems to work. The new production sheet makes text entry so much easier that it ...

Alternate symbols
When I write for bands, color-coding symbols generally isn't as illustrative or convenient for me as using alpha-numeric symbols while writing (i.e. A for alto saxes, T for Trumpets, etc.). I use colors to help, but I still like the characters while designing. So, when I've completed a file, I usual...

Labeling tool
Anyone else having problems with the "on the fly" labeling tool? It does single direction and distance from the performer changes correctly, but almost never does the contour or alternating methods correctly. When I need those, I have to open the labeling tool as in previous versions. Not a big deal...

count editor - removing counts
Just tried to remove counts using the count editor and it would only remove one at a time. I was trying to remove 4. I told it to remove after count 376 and then clicked "Apply." It only removed a single count and the dialog box didn't go away. I had to do this three more times to remove the 3 other...

Re: Shortcut Editor short-term memory
That makes more sense. When I finally upgrade to a full-size keyboard I'm sure it won't be an issue.

Re: Shortcut Editor short-term memory
Thanks, that helps. Still doesn't remember the next and previous page tab shortcuts unless I pick the "right" shortcuts. For instance, I previously used Command + ' (apostrophe) and Command + ; (semicolon) for these shortcuts. However with this update, those keys aren't available so I tried Command ...

Shortcut Editor short-term memory
I've used the shortcut editor to save several keyboard shortcuts that I frequently use. I've saved all under a personalized set (not default), yet there are a few that are magically forgotten after closing the program. The most important to me include "Edit:Delete", "Display:Next Page Tab" and "Disp...
