The symbol font is changed in the Document Options under preferences. This will change the font size on the drillbook printout. It seems as if the display font is modifying this currently. I will take a look and have it corrected to the print size.

Re: Custom Fabric Hat in Animation?
In the document options Real View section you click on the Pencil icon to the right of the Shako Plume 1. This will open the file browser so that you can locate your fabric image. Once you have selected this your Shako 1 will be showing your fabric now instead of the default.

Re: Compound move checkbox is grayed out
A compound move can only be done on 1 group that has an existing transition you are modifying. If you have 2 groups selected you will need to group them together and then use the push tool or you will need to move them individually.

Re: Side stepping
I am sorry, we currently do not have a way of visually showing that style of side step. We currently only have what would be considered a slide, where the upper body stays facing the desired facing direction and then the lower body turns to march in the movement direction. The other option we have w...

Re: Follow the leader and compress (?)
Based on what you are describing you may need to use a combination of 2 or 3 tools to accomplish this. For creating a FTL to a new form that has a different interval you would first create the new form with the interval you want and accept that form. After that you would then select the same group o...

Re: Setting step size to 8 to 5
Lets say you have 16 counts that you want to march 8 and hold 8. You would set a tab at 0, 8, 16. Then you can spread your anchors from 0-8 then create your 8 to 5 transition. Then you can simply not do anything from 8-16 and this will be a hold for you. Then you can add a new page tab after 16 and ...

The UI Scale can be adjusted in version 9 in the File>Application Options> Ease of Access window.
http://www.pyware.com/guide/3d/9.0/en/t ... on-options
Older versions I still would suggest changing your screen resolution to 1920x1080.
