Alt Click (option click for mac) on the interval box to show the Interval Options dialog.

Enter an interval value (in steps) into this text box to lock the spacing between each position.

The locked interval can be released by clicking on the pad lock beside the Interval text box.

You can also enter mixed intervals by entering a coded value. For example 4x3,4x5,2x4 means 4 positions at a 3 step interval, then 4 positions at a 5 step interval, then 2 positions at a 4 step interval.

<Alt>-click (Mac:<Option>) in the text box expands the text box for more room and left/right arrow control.
