I would like to create a transition where some performers are marching at tempo (120bpm) while others are marching to the dotted 8th note (180bpm). The 120 bpm music is in 4/4 so there is actually 5 foot falls at the 180bpm with a long count on count 4. This also brings up the question of stutter steps in odd meters.

In the version 8 you can assign custom pacing. You are looking for 2/3 custom pacing in the visuals tool.
