Props hidden beneath floor cover

Hi all,
We added the floor covers module this year, running version 7 basic. When we continue the drill by starting a new file, the floor cover disappears after the first count. If I attempt to add the floor cover back in, it is on top of my props, and I cannot grab them to move them.
Help?
