Lagging

Post by dorph31 » Wed Aug 12, 2009 9:28 pm

I'm running Pyware 5.0.6 on a 3 month old Macbook running 10.5.8 with 2 GB of RAM on a 2.4 Intel Processor. I'm thinking this should easily be plenty to run Pyware with little hitch at all. But in most cases after about 30 minutes of using the program it starts to lag and slow down excessively to the point where I have to close the program, restart the computer, and then continue. I am consciously closing other programs so that Pyware is the only program running while working with the program.

Any ideas? Or is this just the way it is?

This should not be the case, if you could contact me I would like to walk through a couple of things and see if we can identify the issue. My number is 940-240-8536.

Version 5.07 lagging issue

Post by Jelantik » Fri Aug 14, 2009 7:15 am

Yes. I have the same issue with lagging. I updated my pyware to version 5.07. (upgrade it from version 5. I bought the new version when it came out). Suddenly, when I have a selection and try to scrub the time line to check the animation before committing to it, the program responds really slow or hardly even moving. Also when I want to make selection, I have to wait few seconds before my selection is highlighted, especially when I do command all. I don't have that issue before I updated. (I kinda regretted to upgraded actually now).

Also sometimes, when I launched the program, it quits immediately.

I'm using Mac Quad Core 2.8 GHz with 4 Gb of ram. I shouldn't be having this issue. Not sure why it's doing that. It works flawlessly on the previous version.
thanks.

How long has the program been open before you start experiencing the lagging issue?

To all of those who are experiencing lagging of the software before 4 hrs of continuous use please email me at Dustin@pyware.com. I have a file I would like for you to test to see if this issue is improved.

Just as a show of support, since I've already been in contact about this, I'm having the same issue.

For those of you having the lagging issue...do you happen to use the Adjuster Tool a lot?
