Can't change labels

I am having a problem changing labels after a performer spot is initially created. I select the performer open the labeling tool. I change the letter and the hit accept. However, it does not change on the page. When I reselect the performer and hit the labeling tool it shows the letter I entered but again it does not show up on the drill.

Please help!
