Drill Rewrite problem

Post by gruversm » Thu Jul 27, 2006 1:01 pm

Is there a way to re-smooth out the animation at spots are removed from the drill using the Drill Rewrite function?

What is happening after the drill rewrite? Is the animation jumping or what is incorrect about the animation.

Drill Rewrite problem

Post by gruversm » Thu Jul 27, 2006 1:30 pm

Hi Dustin:

1. Some of the rewritten sections continue to move after the other sections have clearly stopped.

2. A form that moves into straight-line form via a zig-zag pattern now displays all mixed up. Basically, the transition paths are now all screwed up. The beginning and ending points are fine.

The drill rewrite function will not rewrite FTL paths or paths specified by the track tool. If you are needing to modify the drill by removing performers that have non-straightline paths then you will need to manually remove the performers.

Also if you have a marked time in a section that is not set off by a page tab the drill rewrite function will readjust the paths over the entire set. This is becuase it looks at page tabs to determine the sets. In this case you will need to place page tabs at the locations that have the marked times.

These forms are not FTL; but rather straight line paths.
