OS X Software Update

Post by markrivero » Thu Sep 08, 2005 10:16 pm

I used Apples OS X update, and now I can't run Pyware! Anyone have a clue as to what may have happened? I have many drills to write and I really need to get them done. Any help would be so very appreciated!
Thanx

Sorry, in all my panic I forgot to add those little details! LOL I am using 3D 1.3.1 and I downloaded the latest Java update from Apple as well as about 5 security updates. I just used the 'Software Update' program included with OS x. I do hope you can help me with this. Thanx

What update did you download from Apple? I would suggest reinstalling the program from the CD.

Mac OS X Updates

Did you happen to download a new version of the Java running environment? The version 1.3.1 requires the version 1.3.1 of the Java running environment. You will need to see if that is installed on the OS. This can be found by going to Applications\Utilities\System Profiler. I believe it will be listed under plug-ins. You need to make sure that version 1.3.x is installed on the system. If it is not then version 1.3.1 will not work properly. The next version that would be compatible on Java 1.4.x would be version 2.1 or version 3.x. Both of these would be an upgrade for you.
