Fix spacing issue after rewrite

I've rewritten drill and used the morph tool to fix the animation, but I am having problems with the spacing of a curvelinear form that is created from two different forms that mesh together. What is the best way to correct the spacing of this curvelinear form without messing up the remaining drill?

To correct this curve you will need to select both lines that are used and then redraw the curve using one of the curve tools and you would then be able to correct the spacing.
