Problem installing on OSX 10.6.8

Hello,
I've downloaded your most recent demo with the intent to purchase to get started on a couple of shows, and I'm not able to install it. I download the correct file, extract it to my desktop, double click the install file, and then nothing...as if I had never clicked anything. Any ideas?

One thing to add...the installer icon appears in my dock as it does when installing any other program, but no actual installer window opens.
