Default real view surface

I've figured out how to set a default uniform choice for my performers, but is there a way to set a default field for the real view window? Is it there and I'm missing it, or is it something that needs to be set every time?

The templates you sent out with the 7.0.2 update are fantastic by the way. Thanks for those.

Currently there is not a way to set a default surface, however you should have the option to select the surface on the New File Dialog.

I have placed the default suggestion on our update list.
