When I use the "Save as PDF" function for charts, the files are astronomically larger than if I print to a PDF. For instance, a 42 page file using the "Save As" function is over 214,217 KB - printing to pdf? 711 KB
When I compare the two side by side in Acrobat, there's not any difference that I can tell. The smaller file size certainly makes transferring to my iPad easier.
