Serial Number Issue

Greetings - apparently I'm an idiot or simply can't remember anything, but I have my Serial Number for V.7 that I upgraded to last August. I downloaded the trial online and when I go to enter the serial number, it seems as though there are more numbers needed than what I have. I have a set of 3 groups of letters/numbers for the serial number, but there is a dropdown menu + 3 groups to enter when I got to activate. What am I forgetting?
