Won't print full size

Post by CoolRabbit » Fri Sep 13, 2013 8:17 am

I have had no problem with this program for years, but suddenly when I go to print my charts and click on Print Preview, it shows the charts as tiny - only taking up a fourth of the page, and that is how they print. they used to print full size on the page without issue. I checked my printer defaults and everything is the same there, but some how I changed something in 3D that makes them print tiny and I cannot find how to change it back.

Hi CoolRabbit,

Sounds like your margins in the print setup might be skewed. Let's try this:

-With a drill open, go to File and choose Print Charts
-Choose Print/Preview in the Print Charts window
-Open Page Setup

In Page Setup, please make sure that all 4 margins (left/right and top/bottom) are set to .5. Apply that, and try printing a page again.

Let us know how it goes!

Thank you, the margins did get screwed up somehow. I fixed that, and now for some reason my printouts do not have the symbol printing for each performer - just the label number. The symbol shows up on the print preview but doesn't print. Any ideas?

This is a different issue. That one sounds like your fonts did not install correctly.

For Windows:
Go to C:\Program Files\Pyware 3D v7\lib\factory\forAppDataLib\fonts

For Mac:
Go to Applications\Pyware 3D v7\lib\factory\forAppDataLib\fonts

Copy the 2 .ttf fonts (both PYJAVA2.ttf and pyview.ttf) on to your desktop.

Go to your System Fonts folder (Control Panel > Fonts for Windows, Fontbook for Mac) and drop these 2 fonts into the System Fonts folder. Once they are installed, restart your computer.

Upon restart, you should see both symbol and label on your chart printouts.
