V. 7.2.3 Real View disappeared

Help, please! I just downloaded and installed Ver. 7.2.3. Opened a file I had done previously, and there are no figures in the Real View window. The venue and background are fine, but no marchers.

Windows 8 64-bit
NVIDIA GeForce 880 GT display adapter

Go to File>Application Options>Display click Reload Real View Models.

Then restart the software.

Tried that. No change. Still no characters on the Real View field.

I see that V 7.2.4 is up. Shall I try downloading that?

Sorry, V 7.2.4 has the same problem. Everything works (even the "heads Up Display), but no "people" in the Real View.


I'm wondering if I should uninstall and re-install the software? If so, a couple of questions: 1) Is "Pyware3D.v7.64bit.install" a full install (or just an upgrade), and 2) Should I de-authorize this computer before uninstalling?

Are you opening a file before the Real View is fully launched?

Please wait until the program is fully opened before opening a file.

Make sure the field grid is loaded before you open a file. This will insure that it loads properly.

Yes, I gave it a good five minutes this morning. The field grid is definitely loaded. When I open a file, the surface, venue, the HUD, everything loads except the figures. I've also tried putting in some new forms on the basic field, and still no figures.

My system went through a weird crash this winter. In the repairing, the tech ended up installing a new system (windows while attempting not to lose my saved documents, etc. In doing so, I ended up with some duplicate stuff. It's a real mess. I'm wondering if that isn't causing the problem - files where Pyware isn't looking? That's why I'm wondering if I should uninstall everything and just re-do it. I'm open to any suggestions!

A reinstall of 3D would probably be the best at this point.

Before I do that: Is the "Pyware3D.v7.64bit.install" file I downloaded a full installer, or just an upgrade? Also, should I de-activate this computer before uninstalling?

Yes it is a full installer as well.

No you don't have to deactivate since it is going back on the same computer.

The uninstall / re-install WORKED! Back in business!!!

Dustin, thank you SO much. I've been using Pyware since Version 1 (remember the half-hour + printing times?) and I must say that, of all the softwares I have used Pyware has the absolutely BEST customer support. No other can touch it!
