TMP Files?

Post by harrissee » Thu Jul 31, 2014 9:14 pm

Ever since I started writing this season, several of my files have saved as a 3D file, but with a TMP file added (windows). I always save as a 3D file, and I save constantly to ensure I don't lose my work. However, when the program saves it with the TMP added on, I cannot open the file at all. To fix it, I have to email the file to a friend who has a mac, and he is able to erase the TMP...I am not able to do so, or else I don't know how.

Please shed some light on issue; hopefully I am doing something wrong and don't realize it.

Thank you!

They save in the folder that I have designated for the school I'm writing. I've been saving all my work onto an external hard drive, and I have for years. The weird thing is it is a random occurrence...not every file saves as a TMP file. It will save as schoolexample.3dz, but out to the side it says TMP under the "file type" category.

Also, when I go into my backup files in pyware, the latest backup is not there when a file switches to TMP.
