Win 8 problem

The installer cant run in this UI mode...to specify the interfacemode, use the-i command-line option followed by the UI modeidentifier. the valid ui modes identifiers are GUI, console, and silent.

I have NO idea what that means...please help

Which version of 3D are you attempting to install on Windows 8?

v5 is not officially supported on Windows 8. Your best bet would be to install using the installer from the following page:
http://pyware.com/updates.html#five

Instead of running the installer from the website, choose to save the installer to your computer. Once saved, right-click on the installer and choose "Troubleshoot Compatibility", then use the Windows recommended settings for installing the older version of 3D.
