I've started writing drill and have ran into a real mess.
After writing last year I upgraded to Yosemite, Now it seems my Pyware 3d pro is running super slow.
My question is, Do I have enough horsepower to run it now? It worked fine last year.
Here is what i have.
P.S. I have bought 8 more GBs of ram and it will be here Wednesday
OS X Yosemite
ver. 10.10.3
iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011)
Processor 3.1 GHz Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
THanks,
Reed

Re: Is Yosemite slowing me down?
Yosemite isn't slowing you down. Here is THE PROBLEM:
Pyware made a switch from the old Mac Runtime Java (MRJ) to the real deal Oracle Java with 8.0.1. Fortunately, Oracle Java plays kind of nicely with anything updated from the old MRJ. UNFORTUNATELY, it only plays nicely, not perfectly. There are a few things the Oracle Java handles very differently from MRJ and it impacts things like trying to screen record and using certain tools.
There's still a long way to go, but 8.0.2 was released today and it is snappier than 8.0.1

I enjoy charting military drills. Let me know if you need any assistance with one of them.
