Special Note: Do not use these instructions if you have Mac OS 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6 as it will corrupt your system and require a reinstall of the operating system.

Recent Quick Time updates have affected all Java based applications. This issue can be resolved by following the steps listed below. These steps will require that you have administrative access to the computer, so if this is a school computer you may be required to contact a network administrator to complete the follow steps.

If you are running Quicktime 7.1.* please start at step 1. If you are running Quicktime 7.0.4 skip to step 2.

Steps to install version Quicktime 7.0.4
1a) Download Pacifist in DMG format from http://www.charlessoft.com/.
1b) Download Quicktime version 7.0.4 from http://www.pyware.com/product_downloads ... allerX.dmg
1c) Open the Pacifist software and choose Not Yet when prompted to register.
1d) Then drag the Quictime installer.pkg on to the pacifist window. This will open the installation package inside of Pacifist.
1e) Click on the "Contents of Quicktime installer" and select install from the upper left hand corner. You will be prompted if you would like to replace files choose yes to replace.
1f) After this step is complete continue to step 2.

2) Installing Quicktime version 7.0.1 -
Go to http://www.pyware.com/product_downloads ... taller.dmgand download the reinstaller for Quictime 7.0.1. After the download is complete run the file to complete the installation.

After these updates have been installed you will need to restart your computer and the 3D will operate properly.

This is an issue currently with the Mac Operating system OS 10.3.9. The new versions of Quicktime after version 7.0.1 are causing a conflict with any program using the Java Running Environment version 1.4. The only options that we have available to have this work on OS 10.3.9 is to rollback the version of Quick time or Install Mac OS 10.4 Tiger. If you install Tiger then the problem will not exhist for you. Please contact me at dustin@pyware.com if you have any specific questions about your system.
