Do we know if there are any issues with the new Snow Leopard OS X upgrade and Pyware?

Re: New Snow Leopard OS upgrade?
3D Version 5 is the only supported version for Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard. All earlier versions of 3D require a version of the Java running environment that is not included with Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Will there be a fix for this?

I found this quote online in regards to snow leopard and Java:cavalier81 wrote:Dustin, pygraph wrote:3D Version 5 is the only supported version for Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard. Source: http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/Java Note: After Snow Leopard installation, only Java SE 6 remains and is used for all Java applications and applets; previous Java versions (which were present in Leopard and Tiger) are gone. This may cause issues with Java apps/applets that don't work correctly with Java SE 6: these will need to be updated to work with Snow Leopard.
That site has a lot of other useful information regarding compatibility issues with 10.6.
Re: New Snow Leopard OS upgrade?
Pyware 3D Version version 4 is only compatible with Java 5 which is not included with Mac OS 10.6. Version 4 will not be ported over to use Java version 6. Version 5 currently uses Java 6. We are looking into issues that are being reported on Version 5 and Mac OS 10.6. If you any specific issues with compatibility on Version 5 and Snow Leopard please email me at Dustin@pyware.com.

Re: New Snow Leopard OS upgrade?
So basically, if I have Version 4 and am using snow leopard, my product is no longer being supported and I need to purchase the version 5 upgrade? I just want to make sure I'm understanding this right before I ask for some money to upgrade.
Re: New Snow Leopard OS upgrade?
Version 4 is not being supported on Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard due to the operating system not including previous versions of the Java running environments as they have in the past. If you have 10.6 Snow Leopard you will only be able to run the version 5 of Pyware 3D on that machine.
Effective today 9/03, we are also offering a $30 discount on all updates to version 5 until October 31st,2009.
Please let me know if you have any specific questions. Dustin@pyware.com

Dustin,
If I don't plan to switch to Snow Leopard, Will all new upgrades and patches of pyware still continue to work with my current Ver. of OS 10.5.8?

Re: New Snow Leopard OS upgrade?
We plan to keep version 5 compatible with Java SE 5 for as long as possible. Java SE 5 is only used on G series processor macs with 10.5 and non 64 bit intel processors. If you are running a intel 64 bit mac with Mac OS 10.5 you will be running on Java SE 6 and will be compatible with all future updates of Version 5.
