iMac or PC?

I am interested in purchasing Pyware 3D version 9.2. However, I've read that higher specs are needed to run the software. I only have an iMac (27 inch) right now. Should I look into getting a PC or gaming laptop, or will an iMac be sufficient? I would most likely be writing drill for up to ~250 performers.

My specs:
Processor - 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory - 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Graphics - AMD Radeon R9 M380 2048 MB

Thank you!

I am running an older iMac as my test machine. You should be able to run the v9 on that computer. If you are working with larger bands 175-200+ you will need to turn off shadowing.

Even I am using the older iMac and v9 runs fine on my computer sometimes it goes down but in all it runs good.

I think you should go on for a gaming laptop because it can work in every aspect. You can play games, watch videos, listen to songs, and carry it anywhere. By the way it is windows it is best for you otherwise the decision is yours.
