Who pays for it ? ?

Post by drumthumb » Sat Oct 01, 2011 11:27 pm

I'm curious as to how many Pyware users are band directors and of those, how many of them get paid for writing the drill that their own band uses? I know there are some bands which pay the band director from the Band Booster accounts - but how common is this?

Am I the only one who finds it strange that a school will pay a complete stranger over $1,000 to write a drill, but will not give their own band director that same money for the time they put into it?

Are you writing to save your program money? Most directors who write their own drill do so for this purporse, so it would make sense that your boosters don't want to pay you. Otherwise you should be enjoying what little time you have off instead of writing drill :P
