Flip/assign issues

Hello, I know enough about the program to be dangerous, but i have a thing that keeps happening and is driving me crazy. Sometimes, I make an arc and can't get the people I want to go to the positions I want them in. Is there a switch I'm missing? I have to use the "flip" button on like every freaking set, and Moving each individual performer by themselves kind of defeats the purpose of using software. I've tried using the arrow keys and clicking on individuals, it's not happening.

If the flip does not work then choose the clear option, that will allow you to choose the matching location for each performer.
