lesson beat too fasy

As a beginning cornet player, I try to use the practice/assess feature of IPAS. In some cases I find it very useful. However, for certain songs, even 72 is too fast for me. Is there any way to slow the beat down further til I master the song?

Slowing a lesson tempo in iPAS

Post by PywareTechSupport » Thu Jan 12, 2006 12:25 pm

In the Practice mode of the iPAS software there is a tempo bar at the bottom of the screen. You may slide this bar to the left to have the lesson play at a slower tempo. This will bring your maximum grade that you can recieve down. This is available for all lessons in the Practice mode.

Dustin is right about the tempo change in iPAS. Move the slider and it will help.

Tip: You are on the right path by taking it slow. When you feel confortable at a slow speed, only increase it 8 Beat per minute more (like 80 to 88 ). You will gain confidence this way as well as stay with accompaniment better and your score will go up quickly.
