When writing exercises for the Standard of Excellence Book 1, there is a standard for grading and book 2 has a higher standard. I am writing exercises from both books and I would like to know what those standard are so I can be consistent in writing lessons.

The Standard of Excellence Books 1 & 2 have the same Grading Tolerances in respect to the Pitch Accuracy and Rhythmic Attack/Release Accuracy. They use the Recommended Tolerances. When you are creating lessons in the Lesson Wizard, to keep the grading tolerances the same as in the method book lessons you will need to set the recommended Tolerances which are listed below.

Pitch Tolerance = +/- 20 Cents
Note Attack Tolerance = 3/10 second
Note Release Tolerance = 3/10 second
