Cannot Save Pyware 3D in OSX Lion - Java problem?

Post by billthomas » Sun Aug 14, 2011 9:39 pm

When I try to save my changes, 3D throws up a message that says:

File was not saved successfully.
(java.io.FileNotFoundException:/Library/Application Support/Pyware 3D v5/temp/1313356489056.3dj (no such file or directory))

I just upgraded to OSX Lion 10.7. I have a macbook 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB Ram. I updated Java with the 10.7 Java Update from Apple. Pyware 3D is version 5.2.5.

The drill was written by someone else and sent to me. It will open and animate with no problems, but I cannot make any changes and save or save as.

Please open “Go” menu and choose “Go To Folder”.
Type the folder name “/Library/Application Support/” and press Go.
In the window that opens please create a new folder named “Pyware 3D v5”.
Run the software.
Thank you

Thank you Dustin. I had to trash the folder that was already there which then was actually going to make me re-install with activation number and such, but when I just swapped out the settings.txt file with the old one from the trashed fold, it worked just fine. Thanks for putting me on the right path.

We released version 6.0.7 and 5.2.6 that should resolve this folder issue on Lion. You can download them from our updates page at http://www.pyware.com/updates.html.
