Pyware 3DX Beta
Version 1.0.9 Beta 4
Build 4 Updated: 10/3/2026
Items To Test
- Clinics – run the Continuity, Stride and Collision Clinics over a full show. Check that each problem marker lands on the right performer and count, and that a true continuity break is reported differently from a merely large stride.
- Multi-display – run with two or more monitors, ideally at different resolutions and scaling. Move the main window between them and check that menu bars, ribbons and the per-display look toggles follow the right display.
- Multi-display – drag inspectors, the tool palette and dialogs onto another monitor, open the Production Sheet on each monitor, and check that the tool ribbon appears on every View. Also try two Views stacked on one monitor.
- Multi-display – on each display, toggle labels, annotations, measurements and the grid, and confirm that only that display changes. Handles and labels should stay readable on every display.
- Long session – edit for 20 to 30 minutes with the inspector and ribbon in use. The app should not slow down over time.
- Mac – deny the app access to Desktop or Documents in System Settings > Privacy & Security, then launch it. It should ask for access instead of crashing.
- Count track – Ctrl+click the count track to restore its default zoom, and check the direction indicator after zooming.
- Save speed – save a large drill and compare it against 1.0.8, then reopen the file and confirm nothing is lost.
- Selection speed – box-select and step-back on a large-count drill should no longer stall.
- Comma-decimal locales – if your system uses a comma as the decimal separator, save and reopen drills and check your settings survive. This release fixes file damage in that case.
- Copy and paste – paste, merge and insert ranges of counts and check that spacing, later changes and end continuity are kept, and that Paste Options offers the choice you picked.
- Production Sheet – edit rows, step back with a tool, and confirm your edits are still there.
- New items listed in the Beta Build below
- Copy and paste: Paste keeps the visual count spacing, Merge keeps later changes, and Insert copies the whole range with correct end continuity
- Paste Options: no longer shows the opposite Overwrite/Merge choice from the one selected
- Production Sheet: edits are no longer lost after a tool step-back
- Stride Clinic: compares strides using your Units setting, uses cast heights, shows centimeters in Meters mode, and defaults to a 5’8″ performer
- Multi-display: dialogs on a View no longer draw twice or upside down
- Multi-display (Mac): View windows no longer stay above other applications
- Count track: auto-hide stays open while the pointer is over the track’s side buttons
- Visual Reset: Reset is now available when only the Walk Style has changed
- Multi-display: inspectors, the tool palette and movable dialogs can be dragged onto any monitor, and the Production Sheet can open on each monitor
- Multi-display: the tool ribbon now appears on every View
- Multi-display: handles and labels keep their contrast against each display’s own background
- Multi-display: labels, annotations, presets, measurements and the grid fade follow each display’s own visibility settings
- Multi-display: per-display UI scale, with a prompt to fit the UI when a View’s screen is too small, and the HUD inset from the screen edges
- Multi-display: fixes for Views stacked on the same monitor
- Memory leaks fixed in the tool ribbon and in handle materials, which caused the app to slow down after some minutes of editing
- Mac: the app now asks for access to Desktop and Documents, and no longer crashes when that access is blocked
- Count track: Ctrl+click restores the default zoom, and the direction indicator updates after zooming
- Sequencer widget: no longer errors when used before it has finished starting
- New animations: HBCU high-step strides (10, 12, 14 and 16 to 5, left and right) and baritone horn circles (clockwise and counter-clockwise)
- Japanese Stadium venue: podiums removed
- New Continuity Clinic – finds continuity breaks, and now tells a true break apart from a merely large stride
- New Stride Clinic – finds over-strides, and updates live while animating
- New Collision Clinic – finds performers who collide or pass too close
- New problem-marker handles and icons on the field for the clinics
- Multi-display: the app now opens on the monitor you launched it from
- Multi-display: each display has its own menu bar and ribbon routing
- Multi-display: every look and visibility toggle is now per display instead of global
- Multi-display: per-display UI scaling, plus a per-monitor resolution row in the Displays settings
- Saving is much faster – the file write and zip now run on a worker thread
- Selection and step-back no longer deep-copy an unchanged drill, which removes the stall on large drills
- Opening a drill no longer marks it dirty or schedules an autosave
- Numbers in drill and settings files are now written culture-invariantly – if you use a comma as your decimal separator, please re-test saving and reopening files
