Happy Mother’s Day

Dear Band Moms,

We salute you. For every music lesson, marching practice, every purchased uniform. The miles spent traveling from city to city for performances. The countless nights you were robbed of sleep, as the sound of rehearsal bounced and echoed off every wall in the house. All the time you spent suffering through the weather on the unpadded bleachers, supporting every halftime show. The patience that was required to give of yourself physically, emotionally and financially.

Everything you’ve done made it possible. You’ve made it possible for aspiring athletes and musicians to create beautiful music, to design powerful performances, and to march on the field in front of thousands.

This Mother’s Day, we want to salute you for your love, devotion and sacrifice. We can only hope to act as one of the fruits of your labor.
